Navidad, South America Style

Christmas in the Southern hemisphere came and went quickly.  As per tradition, we ate our Christmas meal on Christmas Eve around 10:30pm so that when midnight rolled around, we wished eachother a Merry Christmas, exchanged gifts and hung out until around 3am.  The weather must have known I was feeling a little nostalgic, and much to the dismay of the Chileans turned cold enough to move our dinner from outside to in.  Christmas Eve is also German's birthday, so we celebrated that as well.

Our tiny "Christmas Tree"

Isabella with our Christmas Cookies... definitely not a Chilean tradition, but a messy one!

So much food... So much more wine...

I was given the child-sized Santa hat and told to wear it... I just do what I'm told.

Valencia's Santa sang 15 or so words of Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer in English when you clapped at him.  We heard "all of the other reindeer" MANY times that night.

Tommy playing with fire... as per usual.
